Grimes Canoe Base in Flatwoods, TN on the Buffalo River opened in 1976.  The same patch was used the first several years, and then a tradition of issuing a different patch every year was implemented.  Below is a picture of the wall in the office at Grimes which has one of each of the standard issue patches in the order they were issued.
